Fraud Found in Bounty Land Deals in Several States

Firms operated nationwide with offices in major cities, luring heirs of soldiers from war with Mexico and Indian wars prior to 1855. Legal fees low, warrants bought cheaply then sold for huge profits. Executors of estates used to claim land warrants. Warner says restitution has occurred in some cases, but many actions threaten Missouri, Kansas, Illinois. He advises defrauded individuals can recover sums via simple court action with pension bureau cooperation. Warner details patterns: warrants assigned for less than worth, blank back assignments, sale of warrants, profits multiple times the upfront payment.
