Heart of a Devil Aids Attempt Ends in Murder Fire

Insurance Man Munson Injured In Streetcar Fall

A Munson, a prominent insurance agent at 70 B Market Street, is confined at 770 N New Jersey Street with painful injuries from a fall from Central Avenue car No 284 at 6 PM Monday. Crowded due to washouts on the line, he rode the running board holding an umbrella. The umbrella broke and he was hurled to the curb at Alabama and Michigan Streets. Conductor Cross did not see the fall and did not stop until the car advanced another block. He was carried to a nearby residence unconscious with a scalp wound. Dr Collins and the city ambulance were summoned. Dr Todd arrived first and the injured man was moved home. He is old but expected to recover.

A Lovely Dose Sentenced for Assault on Nora Rafferty

Albert Stevens was sentenced to three years in prison and fined 250 for an attempted criminal assault on Nora Rafferty at 27 State Ave. Mrs. Rafferty arrived and stopped the attack, nearly beating Stevens.
