Lieber makes statement at brewers convention
Albert Lieber of Indianapolis told the United States Brewers Association convention that Indiana is slowly improving and that the Anti saloon league pursues prohibition. He warned brewing interests face regulation by statute as local option laws linger. Liebmann urged separating the saloon from politics while noting many saloons are poorly run. About 1,000 brewers at the meeting cited industry investments of over 1.1 billion dollars and 2 million jobs supported by 58.5 million barrels produced annually.
