A Wednesday morning meeting will decide the fate of the Indianapolis clearing house once comprising Merchants, Fletcher's, and the State bank. The State bank has merged into Columbia National. if Columbia National joins, the clearing house survives. If not, it dies due to only two banks remaining. If continued, James R. Henry, formerly State bank cashier, will likely lead, replacing Walter F. c. Golt, now cashier of Columbia National.

In a circuit court decision Judge Allen ruled for Warwick H. Ripley in the possession suit brought by J. A. Lemcke. The judge held that a pending possession action bars later actions for the same purpose and that a yearly tenant is entitled to three months notice to end rights.
Bicycle patrolman Lash thought policing meant everything, but Tuesday he went to the Wright block rear to rescue a dog trapped in an ash chute. The canine had been nitched from upper floors and had to be dug out with a shovel. He returned to the police station covered in ashes and dirt.
