Gustave Haegle, a troubled man from Louisville Kentucky, attempted to drown a bystander in Fall Creek below Capitol Ave bridge. William Morrell, a teamster, rescued him by attaching a hook to Haegle’s shirt, pulling him from water after a second dive.
