Charlestown Indiana July 4 James Lamb Yater 87 longtime Republican figure of Indiana died today He served as a delegate to the 1860 Republican National Convention which nominated Abraham Lincoln and in that year ran for Congress against William F Holman but was defeated He was once a leading party politician in the state.
Patrick Woods aged 79 was killed by his son Christopher in Trenton Missouri after an intoxicated man attacked the family with an ax. Christopher struck him with a club, causing instant death.
A brick and cement building under construction on Concord street collapsed yesterday afternoon in South Framingham. Eleven men were killed and eight injured taken to Framingham Hospital, with several workers still unaccounted for but possibly safe with friends.

In a bold early morning capture, George Cousins a 14 23 year old black burglar confessed to multiple robberies in the fashionable residence district of Indianapolly. Officers Hall and Mullin arrested him as he pried a window at Henry D Pierce home 3 o'clock Tuesday. Mrs Pierce alerted police after calling from the bed. Cousins wore a Bachman and Carey thefts items and claimed break-ins at several Meridian street homes including Carey Bachman Bellis and Elder. He waived examination and was sent to the grand jury.
