Fiendish murder of Ida Gebhard shocks West Indianapolis
The three year old Ida Gebhard disappeared last Saturday and was found murdered Tuesday evening in a barn at 187 and 139 River Ave. A hatchet, bloodstains, and a torn dress mark the crime scene. J K Linson, a railroad engineer and uncle to Elmer Silvers, was arrested on suspicion after a spree and troubling behavior near the scene. Neighbors demand swift justice while the Gebhard family prepares for burial in Dowagiac Michigan.
