A trailer attached to motor 501 left the tracks at the corner of Ohio and Pennsylvania streets about 2 P.M. Friday. It dashed into a trolley pole, bruising driver Hefflinger’s left arm and shoulder. the trailer front end wrecked and the pole bent. A major blaze at the Waters-Pierce oil company local plant at Twelfth and Grancists in St. Louis caused nearly half a million in losses. Irvanca New York July 22 Charles Giltner a bartender at the Taughanock Falls hotel fell 20 feet from a precipice while returning from a dance near the ravine and was killed. He had just come from a dance and attempted a dangerous route to his sleeping quarters.
Report from Mixwearours dated July 22 says Sauk Center is burning up as the McClure mill that furnishes water pressure for firefighting is on fire. Aid has been requested from Little Falls and St Cloud.
The Burlington & Quincy road has given formal notice of its withdrawal from the Western traffic association.

John Richmond, 19, a native of Orlando Tennessee, died early Friday at City Hospital from burns suffered in a fire at Dr Woollen's barn on Twelfth Street. He left Tennessee last Christmas to seek work, first as a hostler for Gen Morris, then for Dr Woollen. Burial planned at Crownhill Cemetery with Dr Woollen and two Tennessee friends arranging the funeral.
