The yacht Veintza owned by Arthur Colburn of Philadelphia wrecked in Greenwich Sound during a Thursday storm. Colburn his daughters Ida and Elizabeth and his niece Annette Capt Flinn the sailing master and a sailor died. Mrs Walter J Spankle another Colburn daughter and the yacht steward were rescued. Arthur Colburn headed the A L Colburn company a leading Philadelphia tea and spice importer.
