Pioneer Walter A Ramsey Dies at 75 in Indianapolis
Walter A Ramsey, 75, died at his home 821 N West St Wednesday evening from kidney trouble. A Scottish immigrant who arrived in America via Pittsburg and Madison, he settled in Indianapolis 40 years ago and became a famed plumber. Survived by widow and five children, he helped install the first bathrooms in Indianapolis and worked on insane asylum buildings. Funeral at 2 pm Friday at the family home with burial at Crown Hill. He was a longtime member of Lodge 97 K of P and formerly part of the pioneering plumbing firm known as Pioneer Plumbers.
