Ralph Gatewood and Will Boyd confessed to police Monday that they are the two men who terrorized Cottage Avenue. They admit to 42 bold holdups. The confession followed interrogation and positive identifications by Charles Heath of 1123 Womanave and Henry Phillips of 549 Washington Street, who were held up. Boyd and Gatewood were arrested last week on suspicion and held for loitering.

In Jeffersonville Indiana July 7 a surge of army supply activity around the local depot sparks speculation. Col J M Marshall orders discharge for any employee sharing depot information. Packers left Saturday with requisitions for 500000 miscellaneous supplies to be loaded quickly. A Washington rush order followed demanding more stores and many packers recalled to load ranges and camp equipment.
An unidentified man about 31 with sandy hair and a dark suit lay unconscious with a head injury near Eagle Creek. Found Monday by William Vestal and P. J. Walton of a Big Four switch engine, he was taken to City Hospital where doctors monitor his condition. police seek identification and cause.
A benefit fair will be held at Miss Esther Efroymson’s home 1430 North Alabama Street Tuesday evening by the Girls’ Charity Club. Members include Misses Gretchen Schmidt Mary Ragsdale and Esther Efroymson.
A Frank N Nice resident, H. 11. Woodsmall, is linked to a grip reported missing from a drug store. Woodsmall claims the grip held about 5000 dollars or 8700 in negotiable papers, with one grip containing clothing and the other securities gone. Authorities say no crew is believed involved.
