Premature fireworks displays occurred Friday and Saturday but Saturday was the quietest day before the Fourth as police stricted enforcement of firework shooting orders. Bullock Loses Court Ruling in Injunction Suits
Attorney Henry W. Bullock who filed injunction suits against the Board of Childrens Guardians Julia Work Training School and White Manual Training School was ruled against by Judge Remaster in circuit court. Mrs. Dora Ostheimer 81 fled Hartwig Valley home on E Washington, Indianapolis, sought to return to Shelbyville to reunite with old friends. Police matron Gregorie and a Catholic priest ensured her safe ride home. She accused her son on E Market Street of placing her there and asked not to be sent back. She had previously been confined after a prior escape and was found by bicycle officers on Southeastern avenue and Prospect street.
