Jefferson City Mo July 3 Division No 2 of the supreme court overruled the motion to transfer Aggie Myers murder case to the court in banc If Gov Pole does not commit her sentence she cannot be hanged until she is resentenced by the supreme court which does not meet again until October This gives her a stay of execution until then There was no motion in the case of Hottman her accomplice and unless the Governor interferes his sentence will be carried out September 3.
Pittsburg July 3 The letters Mrs Hartje is charged with writing to Tom Madine the husband’s coachman were read in court as the divorce case of Augustus Hartje the Pittsburg millionaire paper manufacturer unfolds. The defense contends the letters are forgeries or written by another Mary Hartje, while Mrs Hartje testified she did not write them.
Mrs Hartje, on the stand in an infidelity case, vehemently denies writing letters to Thom as Madine and asserts no improper relations with him or any other man.
