The city weighed a proposed 25 year franchise with the Merchants' cooperative heating and lighting company. Edson Seen Near Distillery After Jail Escape
Bil Edson who escaped from Washington jail was spotted near the Inter state distillery in Vincennes Indiana early Wednesday. Watchman Fyfield fired five shots with no hits as police hunt all corners for Edson. In Washington Indiana Joseph Herbert slayer of Louis Cunningham, who escaped with Edson and two others, was captured at his home after deputies surrounded the house. Herbert kissed his wife and surrendered to authorities. No trace of Edson or the other two escapees is found.
