Special to The Sun reports John D Straussburg of Louisville the oldest Uncle Sam postoffice employee. He started as a clerk on March 16, 1843 and has not missed a day except for a leave of absence. Born in Hanover he came to America to secure the job and will be 89 on June 2. He remains active and plans to continue working for years. He is noted for long service and reliability in the Louisville post office.
