Molders Agree on New Wage Scale in Indianapolis
Three representatives from the Iron Molders' Union of America and the National Founders' Association met in Indianapolis Tuesday to set this year and likely 1901 wages. A 25 cent across the board increase was granted with floor men at 2.50 dollars and bench men at 2.75 per day. The accord, effective April 1, stems from Chandler Taylor and Rockwood shop troubles and covers United States and Canada union shops. Overtime will be paid at time and a half, and the agreement continues through 1901 unless a 30 day notice ends it.
