Brave Polly and Lennox Bradbury’s boarding house romance
Polly Dean cared for Lennox Bradbury during typhoid illness in Mrs Grey’s boarding house. With Polly’s stage money she kept them together while Lennox recovered. A torn relation, a hospital escape, and a proposal follow a dramatic arc ending with Lennox offering a future and Polly’s steadfast courage. The tale intertwines wealth, social pressure, and long odds.
