In a police court session Monday morning Dr. C E Bedford faced a $1 fine for alleged failure to report a scarlet fever case at 395 Yandeset. He testified he prepared a return blank but another party mailed it, and he claimed responsibility only after a card was requested by the father. The board contends the notice was not received. Also jailed was Louis Easterly for assaulting 8 B Hudson at a saloon door, Hudson claiming no knowledge of the assailant and later alleging a rainbow under his eye from the blow. Easterly was dismissed. Other defendants, including Dugan Peterson Fiyan and Lutz, faced charges of immoral conduct, disturbance, and damaged furniture, each fined $10.
