Sunday at 3 o clock a large committee plans to move the Democratic National Convention from its current location to Indianapolis. The Panhandle Railway offers a sleeping car for free transport to Washington and back. Senator Turpie and Indiana representatives will meet the delegation in Washington and headline the push with arguments favoring Indianapolis. Other cities like St Louis Milwaukee and Kansas City are also contending. Mayor Sullivan hesitates but may join the delegation.
A beggar found a heavy bread loaf in a refuge which, when opened at the police station, contained the body of a newborn infant. Investigators say the baby was roasted and baked inside dough before being discarded. no suspect has been identified.
Cuicano January 15 Two women are reported dead after an engine crashed into a Forty third street street car Thursday night. Mrs J A P Hendell died at county hospital early Friday. An unidentified woman is also killed. About twenty people were wounded with none in immediate danger. Police investigate to determine blame as the tally rises to twenty injured.
Grand jury returns an indictment charging Luke Thomas with murdering Abe Watkins during a December 16 incident at the malleable ironworks in Haughville where both men worked. Watkins died after exonerating Thomas from blame on his deathbed. Indictments also name several others on burglary larceny and related charges. additional items note foreign news and scattered global events.
Friday brought no new developments as Frenzel and Dugan prepared for a third conference Saturday. A plan aims to settle the dispute without arbitration while riders seek restoration of badges and unrestricted privileges. Bluffton K of L lodge 6282 offered support and the Brotherhood expressed thanks for public backing. If terms fail, arbitration awaits.

Joseph Robinson sues the State board of agriculture for 50 dollars over services tied to old grounds sales and a new site purchase. trial set for Monday at 2 pm. Gov. In Oxford Ohio on Tuesday夜 Henry Corbin a Black servant killed Mrs Horner then assaulted Miss Horner. A massive manhunt followed with rewards and patrols across towns and states. A lynch mob captured Corbin in a shed and hanged him. bullets finished the act. Local officials may pursue arrests.
In East St. Louis a large group of youths formed a company and wrote to Secretary of War Elkins seeking to join front lines if the president calls troops for Chili. The conscription term cited is three years. In Scourtsrune Indiana James Avery, an escapee from the county jail, was recaptured and sentenced to three years for grand larceny after a rapid trial.
