On Saturday night near Chillicothe seven miles west of here two strangers boarded train No 4 as it departed and entered the unlocked express car. They bound gagged two express messengers and the bagman and later forced the mail clerk to the same fate. They seized cash and valuables totaling about 8000 dollars and fled across the Des Moines river on the ice after stowing loot in a sack. The crew was bound but released at the next stop. a manhunt is underway.
