Washington Jan 6 Representative Overstreet of Indiana introduces a 47 section bill implementing the Indianapolis monetary commission plan for currency reform. It preserves the gold standard, creates a bureau of issue and redemption, retires legal tender notes, and expands guaranty rules with a 5 percent gold deposit requirement for national banks. The bill assigns a bank note guaranty fund with a U S lien on bank assets and provides for deficits to be assessed on banks by notes outstanding, plus a monthly 2 percent tax on notes over 50 percent of capital.

Bert Williams, a young man found in Philip Carey's clothing, was arrested and discharged in police court Thursday. Carey showed he recently came into money and Williams had helped him spend it. Both were intoxicated when Williams took Carey's hat and shoes, but the court ruled there was no intent to steal.
Cora D Brongen seeks a divorce from Frank Brongen alleging abandonment and cruelty. The report also notes Gov Mount issuing a requisition for Bert Hnis alias Johnson wanted in Wayne County for horse stealing. Other items include a curfew ordinance sign off by Mayor Taggart and a fireman Joseph Duvall missing, with public safety charges filed.

Three insanity commissions met Wednesday. Frank Wilson, 20, son of a Washington township farmer, became raving mad and threatened arson and murder. Samuel Jvons, 80, father of seven, was declared insane after the death of his wife unbalanced him. David C. Bartlett, 45, millwright and father of two, was found dangerously demented and reserved.

Charles W. Smith for the plaintiff and George W. Shirts for the defense closed the argument in the circuit court case of Center lodge against the Stand lodge. The suit seeks to enjoin the Grand lodge building committee from erecting a new building at Pennsylvania and Wash inetoasts. Minor lodges statewide were named defendants. The case hinges on Grand lodge organization and the original plan for the present building two years old. The subordinate judge says the old building association stockholders must consent to sale or merger with pro rata proceeds. The dispute is of wide interest to odd-fellows.
