Four miles south of Elkton Michigan lives perhaps the oldest married couple in the world. Jacob Willer is 108, with Mrs. Willer nearby in frail health. They share poetry, hymns, and reading time, while the old man tends a small garden and reminiscences with visiting readers.
Jacob Hiller aged 168 and his wife 106 recount a long life together as they near 108 and 106 next spring. They note eleven children, seven living, oldest eight, youngest four years old. Neighbors recall daily routines, garden flowers, and the couple awaiting a final messenger in their quiet home.
