He helped secure the federal building site in Indianapolis and advocated a city coliseum, was longtime director of the Board of Trade and active in First Presbyterian Church. Etta Richardson keeper of a rooming house at 607 E Washington street was arrested Sunday on a charge of conducting a blind tiger. Six of eight men found there were taken into custody, two escaped by jumping from a second story window. Police say they long suspected her, but only now could they nab her. Bartender Hyman Cohen of 414 N East street is named as the right hand man in the operation and was arrested. Ford’s saloon at Michigan and Agnes streets was raided Sunday afternoon.
