Dr. Walland summoned found a fractured skill. Police know the assailants but will not arrest until Beck can swear out a warrant downtown.
In Wayne nd February 26 a wagon neck yoke broke while Henry Kammeier and his wife traveled to the city. Both were thrown from the wagon. Mrs Kammeier died instantly from a broken neck. Mr Kammeier suffered severe scalp wounds and brain concussion. They were respected German pioneers.

Paixoto’s orders cited while Admiral da Gama lies badly wounded. Rebels claim victories in the south and a large insurgent force nears Rio de Janeiro.
Brooklyn February 26. The naval board session led by Rear Admiral Gherardi opened hearings on the Kearsarge wreck. Lieut Commander Lyman, Commander of the vessel, Admiral Stanton and Commander Heyerman offered to testify. Proceedings adjourned to the battleship Vermont for the narrative to be read to officers and crew.
