London Kentucky legislators drafted and sent a second round robin to Governor Taylor warning against signing the Louisville protocol. The action, taken without elder members’ knowledge, drew strong opposition and promises to withhold support if he signs. Legislators say Taylor could secure federal aid only through the legislature.
In Frankfort Kentucky thousands attend the funeral of Gov. Goebel. The sun finally shines after rain as trains bring crowded coaches and guards surround the capitol.
