Ada Worland born January 26 1899 weighed one and a half pounds at birth. She survived with rare success using an incubator devised by Dr. Conger at 865 Massachusetts Ave. The device used a water bath a glass top ventilation holes and a moist atmosphere kept at 90 degrees. Nourishment came by injection and she grew to 16 pounds and 28 inches tall. Her twin died at birth and her case became a remarkable record of incubator care.
