Fred W Nolting a well known local contractor was arrested Tuesday by Detectives Spton and Haly on charges of passing worthless checks for small amounts. Altert Grover driver of a van was struck by an Interurban near Twenty eighth street and Central Avenue. he was taken to St Vincent's with serious head injuries. A man named Snyder wrote the Board of Public Works about missing city fountain dippers and noted disappearances near Alcona and breweries.
Unseasonal news from Uniontown Pennsylvania reports Jin Swaney, convicted of the murder of Big Rue Turner, has gone home for the holidays with his wife and 12 children. The jury convicted him on Tuesday and the judge asked if he would return by Monday. Swaney promised to be back as required. The sheriff publicly vouched for Swaney, and he left Tuesday night, with plans to return on the designated date. Also noted are Beckham triplets born to Leekhim, all boys, in Frankfort.
