John Algeo of 306 E Tenth Street Clifford Avenue neighborhood died after taking two doses of morphine and collapsing in his son's room. The bereaved man had recently lost a son in an elevator accident and had shown signs of mental distress. His wife found him unconscious around 11 30 AM and doctors could not save him. Two Men Injured In Boiler Accident
Robert Goodnight and Andrew Brown, both colored, were badly hurt Monday morning at the Stevenson building while placing a 20 foot boiler. The boiler rolled trapping them between it and timbers. Brown had thighs crushed and Goodnight suffered back and hip injuries. They were taken home by ambulance. Goodnight’s condition was described as exceedingly doubtful at City Hospital.
