Cattle market steady with varying steers and heifers priced from 2.25 to 5. beyond, and calves and bulls listed. Sheep and lamb offerings light with prices indicating steady to firm trends for good to choice lots.
Wheat steady with various No 2 and No 3 red and white 93c to 97c tracks and mixed consignments. Corn steady with No 2 white 55cc and No 8 white 1544c. oats steady with No 2 white 5214c and No 3 white 52c. hay steady with timothy and clover values. rye and prairie noted with car totals for inspections and incoming and outgoing shipments.
Pittsburg Pa December 18 cattle receipts light and dull with prime and good grade ranges noted. Hogs prime heavy and medium weights quoted around 4.80 to 4.85 with variations by weight and quality. Sheep receipts about 600 steady with prime wethers near 4.75 to 5.00 and lambs around 5.00.
Receipts total 89 000 head with Hege 46 000 cattle runs and markers 10 cents lower. Reeves 21 000 cattle strong 10 percent higher. Deep receipts 22 000 steady. Native and western sheep to 4 50 and yearlings to 6 80. Lambs to 6 60 and western lambs to 6 10.

Pittsburgh, Pa Dec 18 A capitalist William R Woods shot his 70 plus mother in law at the henhouse on his suburban estate. He fired on a figure leaving the coop then found his mother severely wounded with both eyes shot out and injuries across face chest and abdomen. Doctors have given up hope for her life.
A Pittsburg report says Joseph Schwab will marry Paula Edwards, once a Broadway star, after divorcing his former wife Esther Muhall. Edwards is described as a theatre performer with several seasons on Broadway.
