Frances McKeever, six or seven years old, was killed when she ran into a northbound street car No 822 at Woodlawn and Vir sinken Ave while on her way to Sisters of Providence school. Motorman Marty Thompson claimed not to see the child until a few feet away. the car struck and crushed her. The driver was not blamed. a neighbor crowd and the mother, unaware the body was her daughter, witnessed the ambulance and police. The child was buried by T J Callahan with a coroner's inquest planned.
