A blaze in Grand Forks North Dakota on Friday killed at least six guests in the Hotel Dakota and damaged Nash Tres wholesale and surrounding buildings. Actress Helen Blythe of the Woman in Black aided guests from the fourth floor to a fire escape. several others, including Mr and Mrs N G Howe, perished. The blaze began in the Nash Tres basement around 4 pm and rapid flames gutted the hotel and nearby structures as frigid air compounded the tragedy.
