Diamond Found by a Bird in a Pigeon’s Gravel
A diamond of high quality worth about 300 dollars was found by a pigeon in a breakfast setting. Dr George E Wil Ne noted the stone from a loosened setting, picked up by the pigeon as a gravel substitute. The pigeon fancier Dr Willis raises many birds yearly with loose confinement, and no theft was reported in the community. The core of the story centers on the unlikely discovery by the bird and the value attached to the gem.

Kiran Will Return Church to Pay Losses
Disclosures reveal $1,000,000 assets in Fidelity Funding failure and that Patrick J. Kerran has disappeared. The Roman Catholic church in America will cover losses, and Kerran plans to return to New York next week, with assurance that he will not face prosecution. He had sought to buy United States Mortgage and Trust from Mutual Life for $5,000,000, with an initial $500,000 payment. The plan involved independence from banks to avoid high interest rates, but the October panic halted further payments and thwarted the purchase.
