Indiana towns hear plans for gold mining and industry
Brown and Morgan counties welcome a new mining venture as citizens of Martinayne and Indianapolis back a gold extraction project with modern machinery. In Vincennes a mass meeting plans a large Central Car and Foundry plant costing about 8,000 dollars for the building and over 125,000 dollars for machinery, to be located at Bunker Hill southwest of the city. Multiple local residents invest in the venture as hopes rise for jobs and economic growth across the region.
