O h e r eporting from O h i o Dec 3 The young man Harry Jarcenglager surrendered to police admitting guilt in a string of poison murders spanning two decades. He alleges first crime at age 12 poisoning Norah ONeill of McVertoon Pa and later Barbara Scillcrease Mapletown Pa Succeeding years include S Murray New Moorefield O and the murder of his father Join Lon eenalager and Mrs Cox a colored woman using poison in each case The police doubt his credibility calling him possibly deranged and unhinged by the tale.
Cornelius Coffee, a Black man who shot two white men in Kingstown during a quarrel, was captured in Pocahontas and returned to Kings town where a mob intercepted the sheriff’s party, bound Coffee to a tree, and killed him with bullets. Sandy Brooks, guarding two prisoners at the jail, was assassinated. the killer remains unknown.
Two Netinat Indians on Vancouver Island’s west coast fight after being supplied whisky. They clash, damage property, and trap the lighthouse keeper and family in their home. Government steamer Quadra carries 25 armed constables to relieve them.

A. R. Baker of the Baker and Randolph printing firm on Maryland street died Saturday morning in Boston after stomach trouble. He was about 45, born in Lafayette, Ind, and had led a 20 year business career here, serving on the board of trade committee and the school board. He leaves two sons and three daughters, with a life insurance of 100000. Baker had been involved in the iron hall litigation and served as a character witness in the Hocklear case. His death follows a business trip and a sudden illness that delayed his wife’s arrival.
