In Wooster, the fourth week of Capt. Taggart’s divorce case opens with a motion to dismiss Mrs. Taggart’s cross petition denied. Poore testifies of a night visit, screams, and a body slammed the door, with Mrs. Taggart later shown bruises on her face and shoulder.
The Western National Bank of Lounsville was closed Monday by order of the acting Comptroller of the Currency.
The Meston County Construction company was the lowest bidder Monday for collection and disposal of parishage at Indianapolis for the coming year with a bid of 153,800. The Indianapolis Sanitary company, the current contractor, did not bid claiming the contract until May 3, 1907. Stiller Robison were the lowest bidders for cal s weighing ashes with a bid of 5.0 dollars. The city has not previously called for ashes.
The report describes a quarrel among diners at a Demon hotel where Bieward Harry Caerz and others fought with Frank Wallace and Frank Webb over beer procured by growler plan. The scuffle drew hotel crowds. Wallace and Webb disappeared before guards arrived, leaving chaos and alarm among patrons.

Sixteen girls employed at Independent Steel Spring on North Ashland avenue were trapped by a Monday fire that destroyed a three story building and caused a loss of about 20000 dollars. Firemen rescued the women as flames surged from a rear room storing oil and paint. The cause of the explosion remained undetermined.
