The Medical College of Indiana claims it will use Indianapolis City Hospital's 200 beds to offer bedside clinics to students. City health board officials deny any special arrangement, saying hospital staff provide regular clinics open to all students for a $3 initiation fee, while denying unique privileges to the college.
Francis Manning five son of J F Manning license inspector suffered a cork from a shoe hole in his ear after a horse kicked him in the stable Wednesday noon. He was dazed and bleeding heavily but survived with less than half an inch to spare a skull fracture. Dr House treated him and the boy vowed not to touch the horse again.
A case of smallpox was reported to the Board of Health on Wednesday involving Emma L. Person, 30, colored, of 919 California Street. The notice names the patient and address in the public health update.

The Jeffersonville Gretna Green reform may come from adding details to county clerk affidavits. Clark county clerks previously shortened affidavits, reducing content before the new fee and salary law. Under the fee system only the certificate fee is kept. formerly the license fee plus certificate was collected. The Clark County clerk inherited the affidavit form and bears partial responsibility.
Dr Harry Hicks drove his Winton automobile 190 miles from Lake Wawasee to Fisher Co to have it cleaned after a mud filled trip. The journey took two days with six inch mud in places and harsh roads but the car did not recharge. Carl Fisher comments on the feat.
During dinner at the hotel English Tuesday a colored waiter attacked the head waiter after a reprimand for poor service. A lively setto erupted in the dining room as most guests hurried out. The head waiter says he only defended himself. the assailant escaped.
State inspector McAbee reviewed wage data and calculated that 1 235 rolling mill workers earn about 577 dollars yearly, the same total as President Schwab's 1 million annual pay. He notes the figures suggest disparities and questions any ties between his appointment and the Amalgamated Association.
Alf Wilder, a Black man accused of assaulting and killing Mrs. Caldwell, was captured by a mob near Aug. 21 and burned to death after being swung to a tree. The mob fetched oil, raised him again, and finished the roasting. In Rockport Ky a second lynching followed.
William Gilbert a Union Traction conductor on the College avenue line was fatally injured when his car backed on the loop at College avenue and Twenty seventh street a trolley wheel jumped the wire he slipped and fell beneath the wheels his left leg was severed and his body mangled he died at St Vincent's Hospital after the ambulance arrived married and living at 353 West Marrland street.
State auditor directs every bank president and cashier to hold separate bonds with sureties filed with the secretary of state.
