Town District Fire At Commercial Block Kentucky Ave
Firefighters tackled a small blaze in the Commercial block at Kentucky avenue and Washington street Friday morning. The fire caused little damage as hose lines were used from the roof where a light smoke appeared. Officials suspect a torch from tinsmiths or a fault in electric wiring near the roof sign. Chief Coots leans toward the torch theory causing attic rag ignition. It took two minutes to extinguish and the crews departed after packing up.
