Nasville Tenn August 16 John P Buchanan democratic governor of Tennessee has bolted the democratic ticket and announced himself as an independent candidate for re election He says he and his friends have been badly treated by the democratic machine of the state and that the convention which refused to nominate him renounced the true principles of the party The people's party state convention is to meet next week and it is asserted that Gov Buchanan expects to be indorsed by the third party.
