Edward Crowned King of England Amid Royal Pageantry

London August 9 King Edward was crowned at 12 21 p m in Westminster Abbey in a ceremony watched by peers in scarlet and white sandals. The archbishop anointed and crowned him as crowds cheered the king and queen, with salutes from guns and bells. The procession featured the Queen in a long train and the Stone of Scone beneath the altar. American and other international guests attended, including J P Morgan and embassy staff.
