Thomas Cooper and Maurice OConnell, drivers for Ballard and Furnas creameries, were sent to the grand jury from police court charged with stealing milk consigned to other dealers. Investigations allege they removed a can from consignments, sold it, and dumped milk at Ohio Street before returning the can. Detectives Holtz and Ulery arrested them after Ulery observed the milk switching. The scheme reportedly extended over two to three years.
Rufus Cantrell, a grave robber, was paroled by the board of trustees and Warden Reid of the Indiana state prison. He had a sentence of from two to 14 years and may not return to Indianapolis as a condition of release.

Detectives Gerber and Duncan returned with two jewel cases worth about $500 to Albert Brewer at his East Drive home in Woodruff Place. The cases were hidden in a mattress and found after a burglary was suspected following a search of the upper rooms. The jewel case was recovered in the back yard.
Albany April 30 The Central New England railways apply to the upstate public service commission for consent to execute a general refunding mortgage for 20 million dollars and to issue 12 910 000 four per cent fifty year gold bonds with 99 533 000 available immediately. The application faced opposition at the bearing and before the commission May 1.
