Daughters of the American Revolution Opening in Washington

The Congress of the Daughters of the American Revolution opens in Washington with Indianapolis delegates from the Caroline Scott Harrison chapter. A closely contested race for president general pits Mrs. William Cumming against Mrs. Matthew T. Scott amid factional tensions. The Indiana chapters prepared the president general's room in Continental Memorial hall, with gifts honoring past leaders. Engagements, guest day events, and club activities fill the social calendar.
