In a courthouse hallway on Tuesday afternoon Martin Greer an aged janitor and Francis Springer a young lawyer clashed over records. Springer struck, Greer slipped and a bucket of dirty water hit Greer while clerks joined in. No further trouble after Springer apologized.

Deputy prosecutor Benedict reported that the January grand jury indicted W. M. Macklin for stealing an undershirt after he had been jailed since mid December. The sheriff is blamed for the delay as a capias was issued but never returned. Benedict fears the case may be dismissed as the prisoner has already been punished.
