Tenement Fire in Brooklyn Kills Ten Occupants
A four story brick tenement at 35 Union St Brooklyn N Y burned early Wednesday killing ten people who were smothered in their beds. The blaze began on the ground floor and spread rapidly trapping residents on upper floors. Joseph Esposito and his family escaped. others perished after smoke overtook them. Loss estimated around 4600 dollars.
