Fire at Michigan Lumber sheds causes $15,000 loss
A fire shortly before 11 last night damaged the finished tamper shed of Michigan Lumber Company at 933 East St. Clair Street and spread to an adjacent lumber shed. Losses are about $15,000, covered by insurance. Cause is undetermined, though sparks from a passing Erie and Western railroad locomotive are considered possible. The yard adjoins the railroad tracks on the east.

Jealous wife confesses to acid attack on husband in Akron
Minnie L. Derr, 43, mother of five, confessed to throwing acid into her husband Alvin R. Derr face as he slept in their Akron home. He died Tuesday from inhaled fumes.
