Young robber taken in chase through city streets
A 16 year old, Paul Howard of 1324 West Washington, led police on a chase through streets, alleys, coal piles, and a under construction plant near Geisendorff and West Washington. Five shots were fired before Howard was captured in a coal car. he had stolen 30 dollars and dropped 19 in the getaway. He claimed to have fled from the Masonic orphans home in Franklin.

Unloaded Rifle Fatality In Attica Family Tragedy
Peter Dobbs, 10, son of Mr and Mrs Frank Dobbes of Attica, was fatally injured when shot by his nephew Jamies Slaughter, 4, who picked up a 32 caliber rifle on a running board. The gun was unloaded, but a bullet struck the boy in the chest and lodged in his stomach. He died two hours later. The funeral is planned for Tuesday afternoon. Surviving relatives include his parents, two brothers and three sisters.

Engine of Auto Stalls on Track Fatal Crash Near Hanna
Special to The Indianapolis Star. LAPORTE Ind Sept 4 Mr and Mrs Joseph Tavis ages 65 and 68 of Hanna near here and two grandchildren Catherine and Joseph Denton ages 6 and 7 children of Charles Centon of Union Mills were killed when the automobile they rode in was struck at a crossing one mile east of Wanna by a Pennsylvania freight engine. There were no witnesses but it is believed the auto stalled with clear views both ways. The machine was a total wreck. The engine pilot was so damaged a Cretehe engine was needed to continue. Hanna residents saw the engine pass Vianna traveling from sixty to sixty five miles an hour. The mother of the children died two years ago from influenza. their father is living.

Fatal injuries after car overturn near Fort Wayne
Mrs Byrom J Srmuth of Indianapolis died in a crash on the Lincoln highway three miles north of Fort Wayne Indiana.
