Charles R. Webb, 87, of Southport Indiana, killed himself with a revolver in his bedroom yesterday morning. Found by his wife, he had been in ill health and despondent over his condition. coroner described three gunshots with one fatal temple wound and two skull or scalp injuries. Webb had been a well known figure in the Southport area near the interurban station and confectionery stove.

A Marion man, Campbell, was killed when his car struck a Hoosierland Interurban traction car south of Fort Wayne at 84 o'clock. Ruth Campbell was fatally injured. Myrth Adault and James Brandon, both of Marion, survived with injuries. The crash occurred at Huntington and Bloomington road near the Indiana Service Corporation interurban line. The car derailed and plowed into the traction car, causing the fatalities and injuries among the occupants. The accident happened during a return trip from Marion to Fort Wayne, with several passengers severely hurt.
Four men drown when a rowboat capsized in Middle River near Middleboro this afternoon. Four others were saved, two reaching shore and two clinging to the boat. Names: Norbert Bender 29 Bernard Bender 19 Henry Ray Yi and Milton Marlwity 21.
Wireless message picked up at Valparaiso says the 4,500-ton cargo steamer President Alessandri sank near ten miles off Talcahuano. The torpedo boat Condell has sped from Coquimbo and the steamer Feleta has altered course to aid the Alessandri.
