Fort Wayne Ind July 26 A petition to set aside the creditors agreement by which Warren T McCray ex Governor conveyed assets to about 75 percent of his creditors was filed in Frankfort Indiana Bankruptcy Court The State Savings and Trust Company of Indianapolis was named a defendant The Goodrich pool sought to favor certain creditors and release holdings if $350000 were repaid. creditors representing over 75 percent signed the agreement noting McCray’s equity in holdings was only about 21045.
In Muskogee Oklahoma on July 28 eggs were hurled at former Governor and Democratic Senate hopeful Jack Walton as he spoke at the municipal athletic park. The incident interrupted his remarks but no serious injuries were reported. Walton continued his campaign remarks after the disturbance.

Chicago July 28 Associated Press sealing the final heights of his mountain of evidence against Nathan Leopold Jr and Richard Loeb the state attorney today neared the point where he could place the confessions of the two youths to the kidnapping and slaying of young Robert Franks on the stand Johnny Levison a Kennebunk Me boy testified about Loeb’s visit to the school the afternoon of May 21 the court crowd watched with smiles as the boy recounted the scene and the judge and attorneys kept a light mood despite the grim proceedings.
