Boonville Indiana July 27 William Stevers a city resident devised a method to drive off blackbirds. He installed electric lights in the shade trees around his home after failed attempts with shooting a dishpan cats and training neighbors. The trees are now illuminated to deter the birds.
A car went off a road near Columbia City injuring nine and killing three occupants Marty Kirchner 38 and Ola Sniker 0 both of Fort Wayne die at the scene. Kirchner allegedly transported liquor. detectives will identify a body tomorrow.
Reports say the heaviest fighting since the rebellion began 22 days ago occurred today around Sao Paulo with Federal forces within city limits and bombarding rebels. Carl A. Dieterich perished in a South Grove fire and his companion Mrs R W Yate Barraclough was severely burned. Weather conditions cited include wind rain and hail affecting the display area.
