Moore near Pikes Peak, Brown County, drowned after rescuing her 8-year-old brother Aquilla when he stepped from a ledge into ten feet of water. Both children were wading. Oma exhausted after saving him and could not save herself. Neighbors saved their uncle and Miss Nettle Moore were present. Miss Maud Moore photographed the wading boy as the incident occurred.
