Duel at Townsend’s resolves after five shots

A Monday duel at Townsend's on the Central Railroad in Paris Kentucky ended after five rounds. Ike Hanson was struck in the hip area by four bullets through his clothing while Nash Alexander received a coat wound. the dispute was settled amicably.

Duel Result Between Hansen and Alexander At Louisville

Louisville April 30 report from Courier Lexington special describes a duel at Townsend's on the Kentucky Central Railroad near Louisville. Ike Hansen and Nash Alexander of Paris Kentucky exchanged shots. Hansen was struck four times with a hip flesh wound while Alexander took a ball in his coat. After five rounds the conflict was amicably settled.
